Data Fields

u8 insert_instr [QPACK_DYN_MAX_CAPACITY+8]
 RFC 9204 4.3.3 encoder-stream instruction bytes to send, or unused (insert_len == 0) when no new insert was generated this call.
usz insert_len
 bytes at insert_instr; 0 = no instruction generated
u64 field_rel_index
 RFC 9204 3.2.5: relative index to reference the entry with in the SAME field section this plan is for (Base == total_inserts after this call, i.e.
int used_dynamic
 1 = reference the dynamic table, 0 = fall back

Detailed Description

RFC 9204 4.3.3 / 3.2.5.

The outcome of deciding how to encode one field value against the encoder-side dynamic table: either a fresh insert instruction to send on the encoder stream (insert_len > 0), a reference to an entry already present (insert_len == 0, used_dynamic == 1), or neither (used_dynamic == 0, the caller must fall back to a static/literal field line).

◆ field_rel_index

u64 qpackenc_plan::field_rel_index

RFC 9204 3.2.5: relative index to reference the entry with in the SAME field section this plan is for (Base == total_inserts after this call, i.e.

one past the newest live entry). Valid only when used_dynamic is 1.
